Gerold Porzellan German Puzzle Stein With LithopaneThis puzzle mug is 7 tall and in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. The mark on the bottom says gerold porzellan, tettau, bavaria, made in west germany. Made in west german tells you it was made before the wall came down. This mug is white with a beautiful image of a pheasant with green trim and handle (i used a stock picture of the pheasant to show the detail. The image of the green and white mug is a side view of the actual stein i have). These unique mugs have holes around the top and rim of the mug. They are impossible to drink from without spilling unless you nkow the trick. The trick is to cover the siphon hole under the handle with your finger then drink by sucking on the first hole along the irm as if you were using a straw. The prize for figuring it out and drinking the beverage is seeing a nude woman in the bottom of teh stein as it is held up toward a light (this is called a lithopane). Good luck and have fun! |
