Antique Budenheim Germany Lidded Pottery SteinThis is an antique one liter pottery stein with a wooded scnee in high reliefa deer and a stag and pine trees. It was acquired from a local estate and it is in super clean condition! The stein has a pewter lid with a handpainted porcelain capa stag leaping over a fallen hunter? The porcelain cap si handpainted/handwritten in ornate german script and it is a bit hard to decipher, but it appears to read snkrn. Delztisder srynup___, brudyhim. The pewter handle on the lid is bent and i ddi not try to reset it. There is some play in the hinge (side-to-side) and some play on the hinge where it wraps around the handle.
