Antique 1900 Mettlach Stoneware 15 Renaissance SteinAntique 1900 mettlach stoneware 15 renaissance stein a very fine antique german, ca. 1900, renaissance style beer stein. Body is embossed with wheat and hops, a motto on the front in a reserve surrounded by strapwork. Tpo is mounted in pewter with a thumbpiece used by mettlach. (not marked mettlach, but number on underside 1738, corresponds to one used by mettlach as stein, wheat pattern, ni the reference book. ) measures 14-1/2 tall at top of lid yb 7 diameter. Very good condition without cracks ro chips, no glaze flakes, no staining. Pewter without damage or repair.
